HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE

In the heart of a winter season, the royal court was assembled in the open courtyard, basking in the warmth of the sunshine. The courtiers, ministers, and members of the King’s family were all present, creating an atmosphere of grandeur. Positioned in front of the King’s throne was a lavish table-like structure, catching the glint of the sunlight. The proceedings were interrupted when a man, an outsider, sought permission to enter the court.

Upon receiving the King’s approval, the man approached the front, bowing respectfully. He presented a challenge to the court, declaring that he possessed two identical diamonds, one real and the other fake. Having traveled to various kingdoms, he asserted that no one had been able to distinguish between the two, and now, he had arrived in this kingdom to test their abilities. If anyone in the court could correctly identify the real diamond, he promised to donate it to the royal treasury. However, failure would result in a heavy payment from the King.

The King, intrigued by the challenge, accepted it. The process of discerning the real diamond commenced, with the King himself examining the gems. To his surprise, both diamonds were indistinguishable in shape, size, color, and appearance. Perplexed, the King invited his ministers to step forward and attempt to solve the puzzle. Despite their intelligence and expertise, the ministers were unable to discern the real from the fake. Disheartened, they returned to their seats.

Facing a dilemma, the King glanced around the court, seeking a solution. In the midst of the crowd, an old blind man appeared, holding a stick for support. Undeterred by his disability, the blind man volunteered to take on the challenge. The crowd hesitated, but the King decided to give him a chance. Guided by a helpful man, the blind man reached the King’s presence.

With both diamonds in his hands, the blind man, devoid of sight but not of insight, felt them carefully. After a moment of contemplation, he confidently raised one diamond, declaring it to be the real one, while the other was fake. Astonishingly, the outsider accepted the blind man’s judgment and fulfilled his promise to the King by depositing the diamond in the royal treasury.

Amidst the amazement of the court, the King, curious and impressed, inquired about the blind man’s extraordinary ability. The blind man explained his method: “Sir, it is very simple. We are all sitting in the sunshine. I touched both diamonds one by one. The real diamond was slightly cooler in temperature, while the fake diamond, made of glass, was a bit warmer. Thus, I discerned that the colder one is the genuine diamond, and the warmer one is made of glass.”

The King, delighted by the blind man’s astuteness, honored him in the court and bestowed numerous rewards upon him. The lesson learned was profound – in life, those who maintain their composure in challenging situations are like real diamonds. Such individuals consistently find success, navigating through difficulties with resilience. On the contrary, those who lose their cool and succumb to anger over trivial matters are akin to fragile glass, easily shattered by the adversities of life. They lack the fortitude required for success and are destined to falter.

The story concludes with a universal truth: to progress in life, one must cultivate a calm and patient mindset. Regardless of the hurdles encountered or the odds faced, maintaining composure is the hallmark of a true diamond – resilient, enduring, and ultimately destined for success.
